Registration and Activation

What is International Roaming service?
International Roaming service allows you to have access to Internet, receive or make calls and SMS on your mobile phones/PDA devices while abroad.

How to activate international roaming service?
International Roaming service will be automatically activated upon plan registration.

However, for those customers who have requested to opt out before and wish to reactivate the service, please liaise with your company PIC prior to your travel date.  

Can I activate to International Roaming service while abroad?
Yes.

Who are eligible for International Roaming service?
All Celcom Customers

Do I have to pay an activation fee or make a deposit to activate my International Roaming service?
No fees or deposit is required for activation.

How do I avoid being connected to an overseas network?
You may manually select ‘Flight Mode’ on your mobile device(s) to avoid being connected to an overseas network.

VOLTE ROAMING

What is VoLTE Roaming call?
VoLTE roaming call refers to Voice Roaming calls made over LTE. To use VoLTE while Roaming, please ensure to choose our VoLTE preferred network operators with selected VoLTE devices.

5G ROAMING

Can I use 5G services while roaming abroad?
If you can access 5G services in Malaysia, you are eligible to use 5G services abroad, too. All Celcom Roaming Passes are supported by 5G roaming. Subscribe to any of Celcom’s roaming passes and connect to Celcom 5G preferred network operators to enjoy 5G when you are travelling with your 5G-compatible devices.

Unlimited Internet Pass is our brand-new pass that let you enjoy Unlimited Internet experience while roaming abroad with seamless connectivity! Below are the details of our passes: -

Notes:
  • Upon subscription, you will get 2GB high speed internet daily. Once you fully utilize the high-speed quota, your speed will be reduced to up to 1Mbps which allows fairly good experience for standard definition streaming experience.
  • 2GB quota will be refreshed daily at 11:59PM until your pass expires.
  • This service will not be auto renewed once you have reached the expiry date. You will need to re-purchase if you wish to continue the service.
  • You can use the same pass if you travel within eligible countries with no additional charges.

Which rate plans are eligible for Unlimited Internet Pass?
It’s applicable for all Postpaid and Prepaid plans.

Is Unlimited Internet Pass inclusive of calls and SMS?
No. These passes are exclusively for internet surfing only. If you wish to enjoy unlimited calls while roaming, you may subscribe to 1-Day Call and SMS Pass (available in selected country).

How do I subscribe to the Unlimited Internet Pass?
You can subscribe via Celcom Life App and *118#. Please refer HERE for step on how to purchase.

Will I be informed about my subscription and usage?
Yes, you will be informed via SMS when your Unlimited Internet Pass has been successfully activated. You also will be receiving 100% of usage notification daily upon reaching the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit. Alternatively, you may manage your subscription and usage via Celcom Life App.

Where can I check my daily 2GB internet balance?
You may check your Internet balance via the below channel: -

Will I be informed on the Unlimited Pass expiry?
Yes, you will be receiving 2 SMS notifications – 3 hours before the pass expiry and once the pass is expired.

Can I purchase multiple 7-Day Unlimited Internet Pass?
You just need to have one active 7-Day Unlimited Internet Pass at one time. You may purchase the same pass again once your pass expires. It same goes to 30-Day Unlimited Internet Pass.

Can I purchase 30-Day Unlimited Internet Pass while the 7-Day Unlimited Internet Pass is still active or vice versa?
Yes, you may do so. The internet usage will be deducted from pass with shorter validity (e.g., 7-Day Unlimited Internet Pass) before deducting longer validity pass (e.g., 30-DayUnlimited Internet pass) in eligible countries.

What if I purchase Unlimited Internet Pass after I had automatically subscribed with 1-Day Internet Pass on the same day, will I be charged for both passes?
You will be charged only with 7-Day or 30-Day Unlimited Internet Pass at RM58 or RM98 respectively. 1-Day Internet Pass RM38 will be automatically rebated in your next bill. However, for prepaid customer, you will be charged for both passes.

Can I unsubscribe to Unlimited Internet Pass?
The Pass cannot be unsubscribed or cancelled. You will be charged for RM58 or RM98 for Unlimited Internet Pass respectively.

What if I do not wish to use Internet while roaming?
If you do not wish to use the Internet service, please switch off Data Roaming from your device setting.

If I switch off data roaming from device setting, can I still be able to make Calls and SMS?
Yes, you can still receive, make calls and SMS while roaming once you log on to our preferred network.
 

1-Day Unlimited Call and SMS Pass

What is 1-Day Call & SMS Pass?
1-Day Call & SMS Pass is an exclusive Voice and SMS roaming plan that allows subscribers to have Unlimited Calls and SMS while traveling overseas in selected countries and operators for only RM18 per day.

What are the main offerings for 1-Day Call & SMS Pass?

  • Unlimited Calls (Direct Calls to Malaysia, Direct Calls within roaming country and incoming calls)
  • Unlimited SMS (Receiving and Outgoing)

Notes:

  • Upon subscription, usage will be capped at 500 minutes and 500 SMS per day until your pass expires.
  • This service will not be auto renewed once you have reached the expiry date. You will need to re-purchase if you wish to continue the service.
  • You can use the same pass if you travel within eligible countries with no additional charges.

Will I be able to subscribe to the 1-Day Call & SMS Pass while I’m still in Malaysia?

  • You will enjoy high-speed mobile Internet (based on the allocated quota given). Upon finishing your allocation quota, you will be experience basic Internet (at reduced speed 64Kbps) until your Pass expires.

  • Your pass will be renewed if you continue using your mobile Internet after your first pass subscription expired.

How do I subscribe to the 1-Day Internet Pass?
Just switch ON Data Roaming in your device setting and make any internet usage. You will be automatically subscribed upon data usage of more than 1MB worldwide. Be sure to roam on our preferred network to enjoy this roaming pass.

Can I subscribe to 1-Day Internet Pass while I am still in Malaysia?
No, you cannot subscribe the pass while you’re still in Malaysia. You can only subscribe to 1-Day Internet Pass when you are oversea.

I am currently on another roaming plan, can I still subscribe to 1-Day Internet Pass?
Yes, multiple subscriptions of different roaming pass are allowed.

Will I be informed about my subscription?
Yes, you will be informed via SMS upon subscribed.

Will I be informed of the expiry time?
Yes, you will be receiving an expiry reminder notification at 12am on the expiry day. For example, you have auto-subscribed to 1-Day Internet Pass at 10.40pm (14/5/2020). You will receive an expiry reminder notification SMS at 12am (15/5/2020) to notify you that the pass will expire at 10.40pm (15/5/2020) (Malaysia Time).

If I’ve reached my daily quota, can I still enjoy the Internet while roaming without additional charges?

  • Yes. You can continue browsing without any additional charges. But your Internet speed will be reduced to 64Kbps until your pass expires.
  • However, for customer who roam to countries with allocation quota of 10MB, upon full data utilization of 10MB - your data will be blocked.
  • To restore your internet speed, you will need to subscribe to the same roaming pass or any other available roaming pass via Celcom Life app or dialing to *118#.

Terms and Conditions:

Introduction

This Promotion is held by Celcom Mobile Sdn Bhd (Company No. 27910-A) (“Celcom”). By participating in the Promotion, the Customers (as herein defined) hereby agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) which shall form an integral part and to be read together with terms and conditions of the Fair Usage Policy and/or Customers Registration Form (“CRF”) and/or terms and conditions of the respective mobile/content service(s) offered and relevant to the Customers in respect of this Promotion.

In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and/or terms and conditions of the Fair Usage Policy and/or terms and conditions of the CRF and/or terms and conditions of the respective mobile/content service(s), such inconsistency shall be resolved by giving precedence in the following order (i) these Terms and Conditions (ii) terms and conditions of the Fair Usage Policy and/or the CRF and/or the respective mobile/content service(s).

Duration of Promotion

This Promotion shall commence from 5th December 2016 and shall continue to be valid until further notice by Celcom (“Promotion Period”). Any extension thereof shall be at the sole discretion of Celcom.

Eligibility

This Promotion shall be applicable to all new and existing Celcom’s postpaid and prepaid customers (“Customers”). For clarity purposes, the Promotion is not available to the Customers who are latched to non-preferred network operators.

This Promotion is not available to Customers with any outstanding bills and/or inactive postpaid mobile account.
 

Promotion Mechanics

  1. The Promotion includes 1-Day Calls & SMS Pass (“Pass”) and shall be applicable to Customers subject to the following requirements:

    a. Customers shall be responsible to activate the roaming service(s) as per the following applicable standard procedures (“Subscription”):

    i. Auto Subscription: Customer will be automatically subscribed to the Pass upon maximum usage of RM18 in eligible countries. 
    ii. Celcom Life App

    Important Note: Effective 7th December 2022, the auto subscription feature for 1-Day Call & SMS Pass will be temporarily removed until further notice. However, you can manually purchase via Celcom Life App. Be sure to roam on our preferred network to enjoy this roaming pass.
     
  2. Customers can subscribe to the Pass while Customers while abroad. The Subscription will be activated immediately once Customers received SMS for the successful Subscription.
     
  3. Customers shall be charged RM18 per day (“Charge”) upon Subscription and using Calls and SMS services at the selected countries and operators.
     
  4. Customers shall enjoy unlimited calls and SMS with one (1) day validity upon successful Subscription(define above) in the selected countries. Refer to https://business.celcom.com.my/mobile/roaming for eligible countries.

    **There are no Celcom roaming service at Yala, Narathiwat and Pattani due to Thailand regulations.
     
  5. The Pass is valid for one (1) day and shall expire in 24 hours (Malaysian Time), regardless of the Subscription time.
     
  6. The Subscription to the Pass will not be automatically renewed. Customers need to re-purchase the Pass in order to enjoy the service upon expiry of the Subscription.
     
  7. Celcom reserves the right to terminate the Promotion by giving prior notice to the Customers.
     
  8. Celcom does not guarantee the Operator’s speed or coverage availability during roaming.
     
  9. In the event where the Customers subscribe to other roaming pass prior to or after Subscription to the current Pass, both subscriptions will co-exist according to its respective validity period.
     
  10. The general terms and conditions of Internet usage for both Celcom and the Operators shall apply.
     

Unlimited Roaming Voice Calls and SMS

  1. The Pass offering unlimited roaming voice calls and SMS allocated under this Promotion applies to:

    a. Unlimited roaming voice calls and SMS covers the following:

    i. Calls back to Malaysia via direct dial (Mobile & Fixed Line)
    ii. Calls within roaming countries via direct dial (Mobile & Fixed Line)
    iii. Receiving calls (Mobile & Fixed Line)
    iv. Outgoing SMS & Incoming SMS from any number

    b. Standard person-to-person calls and/or SMS and not for any commercial and /or non-personal usage.
     
  1. The unlimited roaming voice calls shall be capped at 500 minutes per day. Any additional usage shall be charged according to Pay Per Use, PPU charges.
     
  2. The unlimited SMS shall also be capped at 500 SMS per day. In the event Customers send extra SMS, it shall be charged at standard rate according to Operator’s charge.
     
  3. The following actions shall remain to be charged based on Pay Per Use, PPU:

    a. Calls to any international numbers while roaming
    b. SMS to any international numbers while roaming
    c. Voicemail call back & voicemail calls
     

General Terms and Conditions

  1. Celcom reserves the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend, omit and/or vary any part or the whole of the Terms and Conditions of this Promotion with prior notice to the Customers herein stated.
     
  2. Celcom’s decisions in any matter in relation to the Promotion shall be final and conclusive. Any request for appeal and review shall not be entertained.
     
  3. Celcom shall not be liable for any claim by the Customers or third-party claims or loses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third party, consequential or other damages resulting from or in connection with this Promotion.
     
  4. Celcom disclaims any liability for loss or damage to property or any personal injury or loss of life resulting from or in connection with this Promotion.
     
  5. The Customers acknowledges and agrees that Celcom reserves the rights to disqualify any participation if the Customers is in breach of its obligations or any Terms and Conditions of this Promotion. Notwithstanding the above, Celcom reserves the right to reject any participation or the Customers at its sole and absolute discretion without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
     
  6. Celcom does not take any responsibility in the event Customers is prevented from participating in the Promotion, as a result of certain technical restrictions or other limitations or force majeure which shall include but not limited to regulatory and/or government directive, act of God etc.
     
  7. All photographs, personal information and names submitted in the Promotion, service marks, trade names, trademarks are the property of Celcom.
     
  8. Celcom reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to use the names, photographs, voice or video recordings and entries of the Customers for publicity, advertising, trade or promotional purposes in any media, without first obtaining any consent nor making any payment whatsoever to the Customers.
     
  9. Except as expressly mentioned herein, Celcom shall not be responsible for any expenses and cost including out-of-pocket expenses related to or as a consequence of participating in this Promotion.
     
  10. All prizes offered under this Promotion are not transferable for cash or in kind and shall be subject to availability of stock (if any). Celcom reserves the right to substitute and replace the prize offered with another prize of equal value or higher value as Celcom deems fit.
     
  11. Celcom disclaims any warranties or liabilities for the merchantability and fitness of the prize under this Promotion (if any). The warranties applicable for the prize are subject to the terms and conditions provided by the manufacturer or supplier of the prize.
     
  12. The content for the Promotion is provided by a third party (if applicable). Celcom does not filter or edit such content. The Customers acknowledges that Celcom is under no obligation to censor the content or information provided. Celcom disclaims all liability in relation to the content provided.
     
  13. In the event any of the provision in these terms and conditions is invalid, illegal and unenforceable under any applicable law or by any reasons whatsoever, the legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
     
  14. No delay or indulgence by Celcom in enforcing any terms or conditions herein shall constitute a waiver by Celcom of the Customers’ breach of these terms and conditions.

Introduction

This Promotion is held by Celcom Mobile Sdn Bhd (Company No. 27910-A) (“Celcom”). This Promotion shall be read together with the general terms and conditions relevant to the Customer in respect of this Promotion as published at https://business.celcom.com.my/legal/terms-and-conditions.

Eligibility

This Promotion shall be applicable to all new and existing Celcom postpaid customers (“Customers”).

Promotion Mechanics

  1. Customers get to enjoy data quota in 1-Day Internet Pass subject to each of visiting country data quota allocation.
     
  2. This Promotion allows the Customers to use the Internet while roaming outside of Malaysia subject to these Terms and Conditions.
     
  3. 1-Day Pass will be automatically activated upon the Customer switching on data roaming option on their device and connecting to preferred networks while roaming outside of Malaysia.
     
  4. Customers will have access to the Internet once Customers are connected to the preferred network operator.
     
  5. Customers shall be charged RM38 per day (“Charge”) upon using Internet services at selected countries through preferred network operators. For the avoidance of doubt, Customer who fails to connect to the preferred networks will not get access to the Internet and 1-Day Internet Pass will not be activated. Customers may view the list of countries, preferred network operators and available Internet quota here.
     
  6. Activation of the 1-Day Internet Pass allows Customers to enjoy high-speed Internet quota. Upon full utilization of the high-speed Internet quota for the day, Internet usage will be at a reduced speed of 64kpbs (except for countries with 10MB internet quota). For the avoidance of doubt, the high-speed Internet quota will be different from one country to another.
     
  7. For countries with 10MB internet quota, upon full utilization of the high-speed Internet quota, Internet usage will be blocked. If customers wish to continue with internet usage, customers may resubscribe to the 1-Day Internet Pass.
     
  8. Upon full utilization of the existing Internet quota, Customers may purchase Internet Quota Add-On by dialing *118#. Internet Quota Add-On allows Customers to enjoy additional Internet quota. Purchase of Internet Quota Add-On is subject to the following terms and conditions;
     
    1. Customer may purchase an additional Internet quota of 100MB for RM10.
       
    2. For the avoidance of doubt, Internet Quota Add-On is not available for Customers who did not activate the 1-Day Internet Pass. Internet Quota Add-On is not a standalone promotion.
       
    3. Any balance of unutilized Internet quota will not be carried forward and to be forfeited by end of day upon auto-renewal of the 1-Day Internet Pass.
       
    4. Customers may purchase more than one Internet Quota Add-On in one day. For clarity purposes, Internet Quota Add-On is only available in selected countries.

       
  9. This 1-Day Internet Pass shall be auto-renewed if the Customer continues to switch on Data Roaming on the device after 24 hours from the time of activation. Customers may avoid the auto-renewal and/or the Charge by turning off their Data Roaming.
     
  10. The terms and conditions of Internet usage for both Celcom and the preferred network operators shall apply.
     
  11. Celcom reserves the right to terminate the Promotion without giving any prior notice to the Customers.
     
  12. Celcom does not guarantee the speed or coverage availability during roaming.

Introduction

This Promotion is held by Celcom Mobile Sdn Bhd (Company No. 27910-A) (“Celcom”). By participating in this Promotion, the Customers (as defined below) hereby agree to be bound by these terms and conditions which shall form an integral part of and to be read together with the terms and conditions of the Customer Registration Form (CRF) and/or general terms and conditions of the respective mobile/content(s) relevant to the Customers in respect of this Promotion as published at https://business.celcom.com.my/legal/terms-and-conditions.

In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between these terms and conditions and CRF and/or terms and conditions of the respective mobile/content service(s), such inconsistency shall be resolved by giving precedence in the following decreasing order (i) these terms and conditions (ii) terms and conditions of CRF and/or the respective mobile/content service(s).

Availability and Eligibility

  1. This Pass is available for subscription effective from 29 November 2022 and shall continue to be available until further notice issued by Celcom. Any extension or discontinuation thereof shall be at the sole discretion of Celcom.
     
  2. This Pass shall be applicable to all new and existing Celcom’s customers ( “Customer(s)”).
     
  3. Celcom reserves the right at its sole discretion to include any other customers who Celcom deems fit for this Pass.
     
  4. This Pass will not be available to Customer if they have any outstanding bills and/or their service is barred with Celcom.
     
  5. Celcom reserves the right to make any alteration or changes to the Plan or any part thereof, or suspend the Plan or any part thereof with or without prior notice and Celcom shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience to you resulting therefrom.

  • Internet usage of Unlimited Internet are subject to Fair Usage Policy to ensure fairness of usage and experience to all Celcom’s subscribers.
     
  • The Customer shall enjoy unlimited internet access upon successful Subscription (defined below) in the selected countries. Refer to https://business.celcom.com.my/mobile/roaming for eligible countries.
     

Subscription

  1. Customer shall activate the Pass via Celcom Life App or USSD Menu *118# (“Subscription”).
     
  2. Customer can only subscribe to the subscription while the customer is in Malaysia or abroad.
     
  3. Customer shall receive a SMS notification from Celcom upon successful Subscription.
     
  4. Customer may monitor and manage the Subscription and usage via Celcom Life App.
     

Internet Roaming Allocation

  1. The Subscription of the Pass is subject to the Internet Roaming Allocation as follows:

    a. The Customer is subject to the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of 2GB high-speed Internet daily. Once the Customer has fully utilized the daily 2GB Internet, the speed limit will be capped at 1Mbps.

    b. Peer to Peer (“P2P”), Voice over Internet Protocol (“VOIP”) and video calls on Facebook, WeChat and WhatsApp shall be charged according to the Customer’s internet roaming.
     

General Terms and Conditions

  1. Celcom reserves the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend, omit and/or vary any part or the whole of the terms and conditions of this Promotion without prior notice to the Customer herein stated and the Customer shall be bound to observe, perform and comply with the terms and conditions herein and any amendments thereof.
     
  2. Celcom’s decisions in any matter in relation to the Promotion shall be final and conclusive. Any request for appeal and review shall not be entertained.
     
  3. Celcom shall not be liable for any claim by the Customer or third-party claims or loses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third party, consequential or other damages resulting from or in connection with this Promotion.
     
  4. Celcom disclaims any liability for loss or damage to property or any personal injury or loss of life resulting from or in connection with this Promotion.
     
  5. The Customer acknowledges and agrees that Celcom reserves the rights to disqualify any participation if the Customer is in breach of its obligations or any terms and conditions of this Promotion. Notwithstanding the above, Celcom reserves the right to reject any participation or the Customer at its sole and absolute discretion without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
     
  6. Celcom does not take any responsibility in the event the Customer is prevented from participating in the Promotion, as a result of certain technical restrictions or other limitations specific or force majeure which including but not limited to regulatory and/or government directive, act of God etc.
     
  7. All photographs, personal information and names submitted, service marks, trade names, trademarks are the property of Celcom.
