What is Cloud Storage?

Cloud storage is a service for storing large amounts of unstructured object data, such as text or binary data. It can expose data publicly, or store application data privately - serving images or documents directly to a browser.

Why subscribe to Cloud Storage?

It is secure, reliable, and also protects data loss through enhancing data usage policy and control over sensitive data. It also promotes productivity and allows businesses to access it anytime, anywhere.

What is Cloud Storage?

Leverage on Microsoft Blob Storage technology, Blob storage is built from the ground up to support the scale, security, and availability needs of mobile, web, and cloud-native application developers. Use it as a cornerstone for server less architectures such as Azure Functions. Blob storage supports the most popular development frameworks, including Java, .NET, Python, and Node.js, and is the only cloud storage service that offers a premium, SSD-based object storage tier for low-latency and interactive scenarios.

A blob is a binary, large object and a storage option for any type of data that you want to store in a binary format. Learn about blob types.

What is the region? And where should I store my data?

A region is a set of datacenters deployed within a latency-defined parameter and connected through a dedicated, regional, low-latency network. Learn more.

How can I move my data from on-premises to Azure?

You can take advantage of the Data Transfer tool in the Azure portal or compare different data transfer options.

How is my data encrypted?

Data in Azure Storage is encrypted and decrypted transparently using 256-bit AES encryption and is FIPS 140-2 compliant. Learn more about Azure Storage encryption

How do I set the default account tier to Archive?

Set your default account tier in the Azure portal. The Archive tier is available to GPv2 and Blob storage accounts and only available for individual block blobs and append blobs. Read more in the storage account overview.

What are the features in Cloud Storage?
  • Scalable, durable, and available - Sixteen nines of designed durability with geo-replication and flexibility to scale as needed.
  • Secured - Authentication with Azure Active Directory and role-based access control (RBAC), plus encryption at rest and advanced threat protection.
  • Optimized for data lakes - File namespace and multi-protocol access support enabling analytics workloads for data insights.
  • Comprehensive data management - End-to-end lifecycle management, policy-based access control, and immutable (WORM) storage.

What is the benefits of using Cloud Storage?
  • Serving images or documents directly to a browser.
  • Storing files for distributed access.
  • Streaming video and audio.
  • Storing data for backup and restore, disaster recovery, and archiving.
  • Storing data for analysis by an on-premises or Azure-hosted service

Is there any contract period for Cloud Storage?

There is no contract as it is a pay-as-you-go model (PAYG).

How to terminate the service?

Kindly contact your Celcom Account Manager / SMB Partner.

How does payment work?
